Help us get solar at our school

Today, we collected $17.25 in three minutes by performing our ‘solar buskers song’

…. and then help us get solar on the roof of South Geelong Primary School because then this will be paying $6,000 off every year for environment and sustainability projects at our school, not just one year, but for the next twenty years ahead.

We are collecting money and fundraising in the community and at the school in many different ways. We hope to reach our goal of $30,000 by the end of November 2015.

The Giant Playdate Picnic fundraiser event we organised today in Queens Park added yet another $500. 🙂 We are coming very very close to the $10.000 mark on our ‘solar-meter’ now!

Presentation to my old class

Now that i’m in Denmark, I am seeing my old danish class again!!! Thats right! when I lived in Denmark you didn’t think I didn’t have a school, did you? I did, and i’m visiting it right now! But now i’ve gotta write and show my old class a presentation! And here are the pictures in my presentation:

For 2 years I have lived on the other side of the planet!

Geelong is right at the water and its beautiful

occationally we see a pirate ship! Fun Fact: In the olden days it took longer than 6 months to get to Denmark from Australia by sail ship! (lucky us! we did it in just 21 hours)

and Geelong is actually quite the place to be if you want fun

While also being a good place for excercise!

christmas in australia! Its not SO different…. but the weather there sure is! Fun Fact #2: when its winter in denmark, its summer in australia! So its summer during christmas in Australia! (the heat is UNBEARABLE!!!!)

A GIANT MECHANICAL CHRISTMAS TREE is the city’s pride!!!!!!! Not scary during the night, accually puts up quite the light show with laser and colours….

Australia has mixed traditions. From Ganesh the elephant god from india to halloween from USA!!! And Danish fairy tales (Eva is reading H.C. Andersen for Ganesh)

Australia has a few different sports like…. cricket, AFL and surfing

I was on the RADIO!

YES I WAS! For the 1st time EVER I went on the RADIO on 94.7…. the PULSE!!! It was really exiting and, kinda weird to be talking to all of Geelong. I hope lots of people where listening to me ’cause I was talking about the Green team and I also was talking about “The People’s Solar” AND I was freaking out of my mind thinking the ~~WHOLE WORLD~~ (Dun-Dun-DAAAAA) was listening to ME!

Poetry Slam

Today our class made a Poetry Slam performance for our parents. We have worked a long time on preparing this, and we also had a puppet exhibition. My dad said he was very impressed and loved our work. He filmed these video clips with his iphone.

The poem I was reading was called ‘My School’ the 1st time and the last one was called ‘The minions’!

Presenting: ‘A Viking’s Tale’

This is the third film I have ever made, and also, it is the second fiction movie I have made. We got a few clips from our time in Denmark, and put some comedy inside.

I wrote the script together with my brother in the car on our way to the main location, the You Yangs. We started filming all the way back in beginning of October, and we just finished it now, in November, so again, it turned out to be quite a big production. My dad was the camera man and sound technician.

I hope you will enjoy it.
